IAF officer,Bnglr scientist held in Intl drug racket

With more than Rs 7 lakh in cash, five mobile phones and documents, police caught wing commander G Rajasekhar Reddy from Nanded in Maharashtra on Tuesday night when he was on his way to Goa according to reports. Reddy was arrested along with a Bengaluru based scientist drugs like ecstacy and 230 kg of amphetamine were seized. According to sources in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Reddy was the alleged mastermind of the ring that also reportedly comprised Bengaluru-based scientist Venkat Rama Rao, and his wife. Rao and Reddy were classmates and resumed contact when the officer was posted in Bengaluru. The drug amphetamines was reportedly manufactured at a factory in Hyderabad from where it was trafficked to places like Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Earlier on Tuesday, the NCB had busted an inter-state drug network.
